Mr. Dirk Ringgenberg compares the 2001 film with the true story of what happened when U.S. soldiers attempted a rescue mission in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993. During the assault, a Black Hawk helicopter was shot down and the rescuers were ambushed. Eighteen Americans were killed and more than seventy were badly injured.
